For those looking for more excitement, our River Rafting Juuma – Jyrävä and River Rafting Juuma – Jelestimä excursions explore the spectacular river landscapes of the Oulanka area.
The Juuma–Jyrävä–Jelestimä route is known for its impressive rapids and beautiful natural surroundings. Check the individual tour descriptions to choose the excursion that suits your group.
Guided Rafting with Safety First
Our experienced rafting guides take care of safety throughout the excursion. You’ll meet your guide at the Ruka Safaris safari centre, where you’ll receive the necessary equipment and instructions before departure.
Safety equipment includes life jackets, helmets and boots, with rainwear provided when needed.
After getting ready, you’ll travel by organised transport to the rafting starting point. The transfer takes approximately 15–20 minutes.
Departure Point and Transport
Rafting excursions depart from the Ruka Safaris safari centre at Onkerniementie 12, Ruka.
There is plenty of free parking available at the safari centre. We also offer complimentary pick-up from selected locations in central Ruka.
During the summer season, rafting excursions are scheduled from Monday to Saturday, with several departures available on selected days.
