Private restaurant Ukonkivi is built with very special Kelo logs in a traditional Finnish style which offers an intimate place for the most important moments of your life. Whether needing a location for business or fun, Ukonkivi is the perfect place to organize family gatherings, dinners as well as business meetings and corporate training events. From the window you can see the beautiful northern scenery changing with the four seasons, enchanting you again and again with its diversity.

The dining hall of Ukonkivi seats approximately 100 people and offers an amazing setting for all kinds of parties. A traditional stone fireplace decorated with candles creates a warm atmosphere and on the terrace you can rest your eyes from the stunning lake view. We are very proud of our old wooden fishing boat that serves today as a unique buffet table for our guests.

We treasure the food traditions of past generations by combining them with modern cuisine and our original recipes. Using only the fresh and pure northern ingredients our chefs prepare the delicious food from start to finish. Our refined wine list consists of carefully selected wines which complement your dinner making it a truly delightful experience. We prepare delicious meals for your celebration, from small snacks to ala carte dinners. We offer also catering services – if you wish so, we will deliver food directly to your cottage or accommodation so that you can enjoy the special day without stress.

Sauna

Ukonkivi has its own fully- licensed bar. The restaurant is connected to a sauna- lounge suitable for 20 people, which can be booked in advance. One of the two saunas is a large traditional Finnish electric sauna, another one is a gentle steamy sauna. You may try both of the available saunas and relax in a cozy sauna-lounge by the fireplace. Outside under the starry sky there is a heated jacuzzi, where you can feel body and mind in full harmony.

Enjoy the atmosphere

Meals in the hut

Here you can arrange a relaxed evening with friends and family. In the heart of the teepee-type Lappish building is the fireplace, creating an especially warm atmosphere. Sitting in the warmth of the fire you get a unique feel and can feel part of the Finnish traditions. 
Next to Honkakota there is a sauna for groups, great for planning a whole evening of fun. This hut can also be used as a stop for snowmobiling tour.

Great place when you want to have private dinner. For groups of 6 – 30 persons.

Iisakin Talo

Iisakin Talo is the absolute heart of Iisakki Village. Iisakin Talo with its atmospheric inns and ovens, creates a lively setting for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The house is also ideal for meetings and parties.

Seating capacity: 50

During the summer, Iisakin Talo serves guests and tourists with local a’la carte menu from Monday to Saturday.
During the winter season, Iisakin Talo is open by reservation for groups.

Iisakin Talo also serves delicious breakfasts for guests and other travellers. Breakfast costs €19 per adult and €13 per child under 12. Please book breakfast in advance at our reception.

Kontioluola

The charming atmosphere, the candles and the soft music create a cosy and at the same time majestic setting for a pleasant evening.

Kontioluola, or the Bear´s cave, is a half hidden forest restaurant in the middle of a beautiful old spruce forest and about seven kilometers from Ruka center.

The restaurant is the ideal setting for wonderful and luxurious dinner parties, celebrations, Christmas parties and even weddings.

The restaurant has seats for 130 people, but also groups of 50 are very welcome and it doesn´t feel too spacious.

There is space for a band and in the middle, you can open up the dance floor.

The building has air conditioning, indoor toilets and meeting technology (internet connection, a large screen, a data projector and wireless microphones).

The minimum size for groups is 20 people. For smaller groups we recommend Iisakki Restaurant.
